The Misix Movie Quality Index decreased by 7.19 points to 59.70, the lowest it has been in nine weeks, this past weekend as a combination three below average movies joined the top 10 and Moneyball finally dropped out. This week Immortals (54.39), Jack and Jill (29.47) and J.Edgar (59.82) opened to less than stellar reviews. Puss In Boots (73.14) was the highest rated followed relatively closely by A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (69.48). This week’s anchor was the Adam Sandler saturated Jack and Jill. With the decrease this weekend, the overall index fell below its average (62.15), indicating the top 10 movies were not a good buy for the first time in six weeks.
