There was very little change to the Misix Movie Quality Index this week as a result of the top ten movies remaining unchanged from last week. The Muppets (82.42), Arthur Christmas (75.91) and the Martin Scorsese directed Hugo (84.77) continued their strong performances into their second week, while The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (44.88) and Happy Feet Two (51.82) continued their weak performances. The George Clooney film The Descendants (88.86) moved up to seventh as positive reviews and more advertising have enticed more viewers to see the film. For the fourth week in a row, the Adam Sandler masterpiece Jack and Jill (24.04) was the anchor. The overall index (63.46) remained just about equal to last week (64.07) and remained over the average rating (62.12). The revenue adjusted index moved slightly upward (62.66) on the increased viewing of The Descendants. As with last weekend, the overall index indicates that the top 10 movies were a relatively good buy for the week.
